DR Congo Certificate of Destination

DR Congo Certificate of Destination (CoD)

The Certificate of Destination is a DR Congo import document that confirms the declared final destination of the cargo. It complements the FERI and helps customs and OGEFREM reconcile the shipment through transit to its final import point.

What is the CoD?

For shipments to the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Certificate of Destination records and verifies the final destination of the goods. It works alongside the FERI (the DRC cargo tracking certificate) and the importer’s licence to ensure the cargo is correctly declared end to end.

Required documents

  • Bill of Lading
  • Commercial Invoice and Packing List
  • FERI reference
  • Importer details / licence

How it works

  1. 1Send us your Bill of Lading, invoice and FERI details.
  2. 2We prepare and validate the Certificate of Destination with the destination data.
  3. 3It accompanies the shipment alongside the FERI.
  4. 4Present both for clearance at Matadi or Boma.

FAQ

Is the Certificate of Destination the same as the FERI?

No. The FERI is the DRC cargo tracking certificate; the Certificate of Destination confirms the cargo’s final destination. They are complementary and both may be required.

Who needs a Certificate of Destination?

Importers shipping to DR Congo where the destination must be formally declared. We confirm whether it applies to your route.
