What does ICTN stand for?
ICTN stands for International Cargo Tracking Note.
What is ICTN?
Nigeria’s planned International Cargo Tracking Note, to be run by the Nigerian Shippers’ Council. As of October 2026 it is not in force: the Council has the President’s approval to proceed with procurement and hopes implementation will start before the end of 2026, after two earlier attempts were suspended amid legal challenges. No start date has been set. Nigeria currently requires SONCAP for regulated products, which is a product-conformity certificate, not a cargo tracking note.
Who regulates ICTN?
The ICTN certificate is issued and validated by Nigerian Shippers' Council (planned).

General ECTN tracking applies. Check destinations list for specifics.
